This July 16 - 18th we are celebrating the 40th installation anniversary celebration of Sri Sri Rukmini Dvarakanatha. Rukmini Dwarakanatha, our Precious Utsava Deities, were personally installed by Srila Prabhupada on July 16th, 1969 at the La Cienaga Temple here in Los Angeles.
Srila Prabhupada made the los Angeles Temple the example to all ISKCON temples of how to worship Radha and Krishna in opulence and love.
Later, these same deities were brought to our present temple on Watseka Avenue after Srila Prabhupada entered his newly purchased property on Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarawati's divine appearence day in 1970.
The three day festival begins Thursday with two days of intense hearing and chanting and culminates on Saturday with a giant festival including a flower outfit, swing ceremony, Yajna, Puspanjali, Aroti and Kirtana, Abhiseka bathing ceremony, and a gigantic feast!
